There are two options when importing a pattern file into Revit. However, a few extra lines of code need to be added before it is imported into Revit. Go to the right side of the Options dialog box and click on the Add button. Revit accepts the same format Hatch pattern as AutoCAD, which is the *.pat file extension which is editable using notepad. With the Files tab selected, go to the top of the menu and double click on the Support File Search Path to show the list of AutoCAD (or ADT) folders in the search path.
